I have started this thread a couple of times in the past, but I have not posted. So, here goes: I am interested in seeing pics AND reading about knives that are actually used. And, not your grandpa's patina, yours.

I didn't realize just how long this one had been with me until someone mentioned the tang stamp changed back in '73. I bought it new.

Crappy picture, the flash washed out the dark grey of the patina on the blades.
 
This little 1095 GEC Sleeveboard started out shiny as a new penny:

Now it looks like this. Nothing forced, just a lot of honest carry and use. The color of the stag has mellowed nicely, too:

I used my Mora for all sorts of random tasks--yard work, fire steel striking, kitchen work, etc. I think lemons made the biggest change.
The knife is in pretty good condition otherwise. I try to use the right tool for the job and only cut relatively soft things.
