So I just ought a knife that I normally wouldn't give a second glance to. I was perusing my local knife pusher's wares and saw the Benchmade Bone Collectors. I had only seen them online and decided to take a look to see if I really disliked them as much as I thought I did. So he handed me one and I immediately fell in love. I didn't come home with one that day because I couldn't decide which one: large/small/walnut/g10/etc. Well I went back Saturday and came home with a small "walnut" model. I like this thing more and more. I just LOVE an Axis lock, the blade is very slicie and laser sharp, the scales look amazing too. I would have gone with the large but I thought it was just a little fat for me. I will probably end up with a large in the green/black though. I will admit that this knife genuinely surprised me with how much I like it. I always lumped it in with the Griptilian which I though felt flimsy and cheap, but it is a good solid feeling knife. So this is a place to post up knives you liked until you fell in love with them and why.

Even though I know that you know what they look like:

I had always liked the CPM-M4 from my Military and Manix 2, and although they can be used hard, I never really did because I always treated them like slicers. I had heard a lot about the Gayle Bradley but never pulled the trigger because, well, look at it. I got a really good deal on one a couple of years ago and figured that with the high-end steel, it'd make a good user/beater at least. To my surprise, it does that very very well. It took me a while to warm up to the ergos, and to this day I still prefer the grip that the Military or Paramilitary/2 provides (I've gotten rid of all my Manix2's). However, I have beaten on the GB, pried with it, cut up tires, stuff that I would never dream of doing with other models. On top of the toughness engineered into the design, it's also a very good slicer.
