Pics of knives you don't see every day

I took some pics of a knife that a friend wanted me to get some info on. I thought I would post them here. I do not know anything about this knife, It could be a cheap $10 flea market knife or it would be worth a little money, I don't know. I thought it looked cool so I wanted to share.

Neat jambiya. I am by no means an expert on those but it was my understanding that the ones with the sharp indents on the handle were older where the grips that have a steady curve are newer. It could be that it's a repro of an older piece? Hopefully somebody with some real expertise will come along. How's your google-fu?

had a similar piece in 70s. not junk, yours looks like kurdish in orgin.
