I just finished my Mil up. I have been trying to figure out how to do this for sometime. I finally got a small tritium vial and went to work on the Military. Look at the pics. I put a hole in each side of the handle and one in the back of the spacer. The vial is in the spacer. I hollowed it(spacer) out with a dremel tool. It works pretty good. I was thinking of maybe doing this service for others that have Mils. The vials are pretty expensive, but I think it is worth it. This is my first one, but I think the next one would look better. Check out the pics:

Cool!! I thought about doing that with one of my Spydies. I was going to use a tritium shotgun front sight. One of the little ones. Nice work.

way to go man~~

but you have to remember one thing

if you put the knife in your pocket, the only side show up is the up scale and the clip, the night index function is to let you find your knife in the dark, therefore if you insert the vials too low then you are not gonna find you knife in the dark

and since you are holding the knife and you cover the vials up, then you are not going to see your knife in action also

just my little thought.....

thanks for showing us you great work

Wish all have a great Christmas ~~

Greetings

PS: I like the tritium military, although it is enough for me if the spacer in enlightend.

I don't really have a problem finding the knife in my pocket. I put the tritium in there incase I dropped it or misplaced it in the dark. I just thought it was cool. Besides, putting it in the spacer was the easiest ways to do it. I figure it cost about $75 to do this. The tritium is about $50 and then the time it took plus if you don't have a dremel tool or a drill, you can't do it. I am trying to think of another knife with a large back spacer in it. Does anyone know of any others? The vial is about 1" long. Thanks for all the comments.

I like the idea of finding the knife in the dark. I didn't know the vials were that long. Did you use a clear epoxy to hold it in place or is it wedged in?? Just wondering.

I just used a small amount of non hardening adhesive just incase I need to change it one day. It sits safely without hitting anything in the groove.

That looks pretty sweet. Where did you find the vials at? I might order some and play with it when I have some time, could be a fun project.

I won't sleep with my pant on ....that is the point

a year a go we had lots big earthquakes in Taiwan

we had a long blackout and we all scare at that time

we don't know when the building will collapse

and if you wake up in the middle of the night and you gonna escape from the buliding

you better grab you id cards and some money with you , if you had a knife with some night index on then you can quickly find it and grab it , and that will be much easier for your life

That is why I will put my night index on the clipside

Nice work Michael!
If you decide to make a few knives like that to sell I'd be interested in one for sure! Where did you get the vias from?
