Well, thanks to the beautiful pics you guys have posted and the community here in the Traditional forum, I've started a decent accumulation of Case pocketknives.

I must comment that the journey has been as much if not more fun than the actual acquisition and ownership. I love the thrill of the hunt for that next knife I want, and the unexpected finds I have made along the way. I also enjoy the fact that most traditionals are still sold through small shops, whether it's the country hardware store you have to drive 50 miles to find, or the on-line store where you get a personal e-mail from the owner letting you know that your order has been received. I'm glad that there's still a place for that personal relationship with a shopkeeper. For me it's part of what makes a traditional knife traditional.

But back on point - I finally had some nice weather to get outside and shoot some pretty pics. Not as nice as most of you guys but my camera is the one built into the wife's iPad, but they'll have to do. Pretty much in the order I accumulated them:

Case Small Texas Jack, Amber Bone CV, front and back. Scales are a bit different but I like the looks of both sides. This is also the one I carry most of the time.

Case Brothers Tiny Trapper in Antique Molasses Jigged Bone SS, and Case Peanut in Chestnut Bone CV:

Case Limited XX Barlow in Dark Molasses Jigged Bone SS (looks more like Goldenrod to me, but that's what it says on the box), both sides:

And my most recent two, haven't had a sunny day to take outdoor pics since I got these.

You'll probably see the influences of some other recent threads or pics on my purchases. :)

Thanks for looking.

Nice collection, Sir! Congratulations on that ones. A good way to start :)

Each picture prompts me to say" ya, I need to get one of those". The sbj in cv seems to be calling me at this point. Thank you for the pictures

Thanks, guys. Many of my acquisitions were inspired by the comments and pics from others here on this forum.

TLARbb was the inspiration of the matched Mini Trapper and Mini Copperlock after seeing his pics of the same set. I was lucky to be able to find that handle type and it took me a lot of searching and several orders placed before I actually found a couple in stock..

The Texas Jack and Swayback Jack were recommended by so many that those two were actually my first tradtionals that I bought. Carl (jackknife) put the longing for a Peanut in my heart. There was a recent thread about Barlows that had me on the lookout for a nice example of that pattern.

The only ones I take full credit for are the Tiny Trapper and that Peacock Appaloosa Copperlock.

I'm still searching for a Mini Copperhead to add to the collection, and for some reason I feel drawn towards the Elephant's Toe pattern and maybe a nice Slimline Trapper.,

Before finding this forum do you realize I actually just bit into a whole apple with my teeth, like some wild animal? Now they must be sliced, all civilized like, so I'm going to need me a nice apple slicer, hence the slimline trapper.

Very nice group of knives you have accumulated!

Since you like the Texas Jack, why not go for its bigger sibling, the 6292 jack? It can handle apple slicing just fine (but is not as easily or inexpensively obtained as the slimline trapper).

My 6292 is old, and the blades are worn down some with use. Nonetheless, it is a very good knife, shown here with the peanut for size reference.

And here are two shots of it with my 6232 jack (same size as your 62032 Texas jack).

I'll keep an eye open for those, Doug, it's a nice looking pattern! I'm rather new to this so I'm mostly familiar with current and recent production patterns. I need to study up on some of the older models.

Good thread, Doug. As was mentioned in that thread, a more readily available alternative is the standard Copperhead, which is also on my short list if I can find one with handles that suit my fancy. There are actually a couple I like but my wallet needs a cooling off period. :)

I'll still keep the 6292 in my list. You never know what might turn up in a yard sale.

Ususally not a fan of blue bone, but that ocean blue was magnificent! congratulations on a nice collection.

Great collection! That Peacock Appaloosa bone is real fine, I'd never really noticed that one before, but yours looks great! I really like that Barlow also. Would love it in CV.

Doug Add - thanks for the comparison shots of the 6292. I never realized it was that much bigger than the 62032!
That clip blade looks like a brute, that's definitely one to look for!

You've amassed a nice collection. I think you've made good selections. It's hard to go wrong with anything CV IMHO. Also those Collector's Club series, are pretty cool, and not super ornate, which I really like. I've got my eye on them.

So, resurrecting this thread to add a few more recent acquisitions:

Medium Jack: not sure I like the handle colors on this one, but maybe it'll grow on me.
