Just picked this one up yesterday and i was afraid of the quality because it was my first Benchmade.
And boy this is a great knife!
I love the drilled steel liners and aluminium covers, makes the knife not too light and it feels good and sturdy, nothing like a griptilian.
The auto axis lock is great, very solid lockup and zero bladeplay, It's also cool that you can lock the axis lock in open and closed state so it's a double security.

I would prefer S30V but it cut that much, mostly plastic bags, boxes and food so the 154CM would hold up for a while.

It's going to replace my Buck Mayo Waimea as EDC because that knife is a little to small for my big hands, the 5500 feals great and it not that big in the pocket.

Anybody using this knife for some time and what do you think of it?

Afraid of BM quality?
Not me, never have been, no reason to be.
Thats a cool lanyard, I like the glowing eyes on the skull bead, looks bad azz

I just have hanled one for a moment but it is a great little automatic knife.

The anodisation of the scales felt much better than from my earlier 520 and 5000A.

Don´t worry about the 154CM. The edges on my 14205 and 14210 are the best i ever get from BM.

I've got the manual version, and while it's a little too small for me, it's still a nice tool.
I do, however, have the auto full-size, which sees a good bit of use.

Never been a huge fan of Benchmade's designs, but this one and a couple others are the exception for me. Really nice knife! I like everything about it, including the steel.
