I got my CG Ratmandu today. Its Tanker and Black canvas. No knife is ever sharp enough for me until I put my touch on it, so I gave the Du an atom splitting mirror polished convex edge. I had a specops combat master laying around and made a custom cut kydex liner for it. I didnt have enough material to make a full sheath. That will come next. Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure...















This thing shaves like a mach 3 razor!! Took the hair off my forearm with ease. SR101 takes a sick edge.

Dont mind you moving it at all... Suffered a little brain lock creating the thread. I was mesmerized by my handy work
 
Loving the RMD! Nice work on that Spec Ops sheath as well!
 
I used a 1x30 harbor freight belt sander. I took the plenum off to creat a slack belt. Start with 80 grit belt to set the edge then I work through a 40, then 20, then 9 micron sharpening belts from Lee Valley tool. To remove the wire burr I then hit it on a leather belt (on the sander) with green compound. The final step is a 8 inch buffer wheel with green compound.

The lighting makes you coating and scales look lighter than my own Tanker+Black Ratmandu. Also, the corrugations left behind by the grinder on the primary bevel really show through.

If you can, record a shaving video! The Swamp needs more 'in use' videos on the web, and you edge is a definite winner :cool:
