I thought you guys might like to see these. My sister has two dogs that she rescued from crappy lives. Miles is a tripawd, but you'd never believe it when you see him run. He is super energetic. Betty the bulldog is super old(14 or 15, I think) and only has one tooth and one eye. I was trying to duplicate the look of some pics I had seen online. I took them with a ring flash and it really brings out the texture of their fur.

After these photos were done, my Mom and I took Grandpa's ashes out to the place he wanted us to. I used my new Singh Ray variable neutral density filter to take this. I wanted to slow the shutter speed down to a level where the water became ethereal.

All in all a good day.

Wow. Amazing. Your pictures have always been amazing and a treat, ted.... but these are on another level now.
You really have a talent for composition, framing lighting, texture.....one helluv an eye!
That flash really does bring a depth to those pictures with a softness that make them look like you could reach out and pet them.
Miles and Ol' Betty are adorable! They look healthy, happy and content now. Thats the best thing those pics show.
Glad you had a good day with family!

Here, Here. I agree with Karda you have an artistic eye and the ability to create world class pictures .
It is good dogs live in the now and do not stress over the past like humans. These two look like they are happy to be with your family. Your sister sounds like a wonderful person.

Thanks for sharing these awesome photos bro. I am touched by all of them.

Beautiful dogs, beautiful falls, gorgeous pictures altogether...I'm sorry to hear about your Grandfather dying, rest in peace.... As for the dogs, 'not handicapped! HandiCAPABLE!' :) Peace.

wonderful lovely doggies, blessings to your sister. nice shot of the falling water. good equipment can make a world of difference.

Great images.

I don't like to think of how often I tried and failed to make the water "cotton."

Nice eye, great skill.
