Just wondering, has anyone seen, or does anyone have any pics of the Horseman? I love my 8, but I'd be tickled to have a mini verson of it. Thanks

There are some prototype pics from the Shot Show floating around on other forums.

Supposedly they are about 6 weeks or so away from hitting the streets.

Here is one, thanks out to BossHoss for the excellent pics.

Halfneck,

Those look just as large as the 8. Anyone know of dimensions?

Thanks for the info, people.

Most Emerson minis aren't really minis at all. The mini CQC-7 is the only smaller mini I know of. The mini Commander isn't really that small and this new Horseman (mini CQC-8) is supposed to have a blade length of about 3.4" if I am not mistaken so it is only about 1/2" smaller or so than the standard CQC-8. Of course the overall dimensions may be a touch smaller as well but we will have to wait and see.

To me all Emerson minis should have a sub 3" blade length and smaller handle configuration. A CQC-8 the size of a mini CQC-7 would be ideal.

Yeh, I was definitely hoping for something around 3". It won't really be worth it for me to spend the coin just to shave off .5 of an inch. Now if this thing were closer to 7" OAL I'd be all over it in a plain edge.

For a 3" blade there will little room left for any kind of curves like those on 8 or Commander, as you could see the .5" shortened blades make them "straighter" (nothing sexually implicated) XD

I'll be picking up a couple of these regardless of the size. I had just hoped for something a little smaller.
