I think when I get time Im going to start posting up some pics of wood that I have available for orders. It will give you guys a better idea of whats out there and maybe you will see something that will catch your eye that you didn't know about. I try to keep many different species on hand in all different colors and figure so I can offer choices. Im always picking up new stuff so if there is something in particular you might want let me know. I try and buy blocks instead of scales or at least larger bookmatched boards because its cheaper. Offer some suggestions woods that you guys might like for me to get.

SOME OF THIS STUFF IS NOT TOTALLY DRY YET AND ANY OF THE SPALTED AND BURLS NEED TO BE STABILIZED. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING STABILIZED I CAN SEND IT OUT AND USUALLY HAVE IT BACK IN AT LEAST 3 WEEKS BUT IT WILL BE ABOUT 10.00 MORE A KNIFE. JUST LET ME KNOW AND ILL CHECK AND SEE IF ITS READY FOR HANDLING.

Obviously Osage Orange, Some kind of highly figured maple (Birds eye, big leaf). I'd probably want one of your knives to have a North American wood just because of the designs of your blades.

Got you covered OF! My main source for wood is out of IL so he gets mainly North American species. I have Osage and curly, birdseye, and crotch Maple. Its weird, I use to love the burls more than anything but I have grown to like basic straight grained and curly woods better. I like colors and figure more than burl now.

I like this idea. I don't know much about different types of woods and it would be nice to have some pictures to help choose what I want. No real suggestions from me, but I hope you have some more of that desert ironwood on hand.

I like spalted wood a lot, but then again, I'm a sucker for drastic color contrast / figuring.

Ok, Here are a few. I wet some of them to show figure and some I didn't. Obviously they look much nicer when finished. These are usually just cut not sanded yet. A few are scale size but most are either blocks or bookmatched boards.

Wow, some great options there that I've never seen! If we hadn't just been nailed with a major car repair I'd be trying to order for Feb. I guess we'll see what March / April holds.

Just picked up the Maple Burl log. Its going to make aloooooot of scales!

Very nice!

....but it all plays second fiddle, to that Red Mallee Burl....

JMO!

I can't wait to see some of these finished and on a knife. I bet some of them really change a lot from what we see in the pictures. I know the ironwood sure does look different on Echo7's knife.

That holly & spalted elm are something different Chris. And stop teasing us Bill with your super sick wood stash!
