I got around to taking a few pics today and didn't recall seeing any posts of blades with the new Bama Clay finish. My proxy grabbed this one at the Creek and it's unlike any finish I've seen on a Busse. As you can see from the pics it has a somewhat natural appearance to it....almost like brick, or certain clays. But what is really interesting is that to the touch, it is EXTREMELY smooth and hard--think glazed ceramic almost. Hope you enjoy the pics and would love to hear impressions from anyone else who got one with Bama Clay.

That's a pretty cool looking finish. I'm interested to see how it holds up compared to some of the others out there.

Looks really cool. Your description is pretty interesting too. I wonder if it's different than the usual coatings?

Thanks for the up close pics. I like it more now seeing those. It does look like brick/clay. Interesting. I wonder what the history behind it was.

Held the very same knife at KC and thought it was great....I ended up getting two Double Cut FSH's which for me are easier to use and maintain....but it certainly appealed to me.

Your pics really do a good job of showing the color. I like it too, and I am sure it would look good with some black slabs!!!

Looks good. I hope they come out with other colors in this type of coating. The crinkle finishes really don't do it for me. Some red/black G10 handles would look good with these.

I also think it would look good with pumpkin scales. Like a pumpkin pie! New SAR knife with pumpkin and Bama clay? Count me in on that!

Great looking knife and finish! Looks almost indestructable like tough ceramic.
