I am just curoius to see how those that carry there fixed blades wear them? What position, what knife, what method?

Thanks,
Tony.

I posted something similar last week or over the weekend during the snow-in. There were some pretty good pictures in it if you read it.

I saw a guy wearing his RC-3/4 with the MOLLEBACK on his belt. I have not yet tried to wear it as a belt loop.....I have it lashed to a bag but don't know quite the best way to create a belt loop with it, so if anybody could explain that I'd be grateful.

I carry my 4 IWB at 3-3:30. I ordered some kydex clips from Tucker Gun Leather that are designed so you can tuck your shirt in over the knife. I attached one of the clips to the kydex sheath with the supplied screws for the molle locks.

Works like a charm. Sorry no pics.

Yeah. I'm just really looking for some idea's. I'm wearing my 3-MIL right now with the Molle back sheath. Gonna try a horizontal carry next on my weak side.

Any way you want. I'm open to all ideas. I myself am not to concerned with concealment. In other words. If it shows a little bit I'm not to worried about it. My brother has worn about a 3-5 inch blade on his hip in the open for at least the last 15 years. You won't EVER see him without one.

There are several ways to carry the 3. So in your case it just seems like a matter finding what works for you.

Molle: OWB vertical or horizontal

Clip plate: IWB, OWB or inside a boot.

Tuckable kydex clips: IWB tucked or untucked.

Paracord: Vertical or horizontal OWB

Anyone try Horizontal at the small of the back? I'm pretty sure it will be OWB. I already gotta worry about my Glock 19 on my strong side IWB...LOL! Well sometimes I wear it OWB with my Kaluban Cloak Kydex holster.

Ok, crappy pic with cell phone, But I think I'll give this a try for the day tomorrow!

When I'm carrying my XD9 I have a Kershaw Blackout in my pocket and the 4 goes in my go bag. When I can't carry my XD the 4 goes on my hip and Blackout in my pocket.

I tried that horizontal method with my 4 before i got my clips. It's just too big.

How did you attach it to your belt or jean loops? Did you thread the snap line through your jean loops? I am confused as to the best way to attach it to the belt for a horizontal or vertical...my guess for the horizontal is what i just mentioned, and the vertical is just snapping the snap and threading it through the loop, but it seems like I'd like to put something on the Drop-Extender at the top and connect that to my belt.

I actually just weaved my belt through the loops on the sheath, and the loops on my jeans in the same manner you would as if it was pals webbing. I happen to have 2 belt loops directly in back about 3-4 inches apart. right under the sheath. Not all my pants are like that, so it will very. Right now I just put my boot clip from my 3-MIl on the kydex sheath of my HEST, and I'm wearing on my belt......It's fun to have options! I would like to buy a nicer KYDEX sheath for the 3, which I think I'll do at some point. It does have some wiggle in the sheath, and is the only part of it that isn't that great.

Ahh.. someone actually posting a pic. LOL! Thanks.....Bad Ass for sure man!

I've since taken off the pouch. Lets be honest, none of us are going to grab and go just a sheath. It's alot slimmer just MB and sheath. In those temps I was in, I should have had the sheath inside at least a couple layers of cloth to keep it warmish.

Here is my experiment with my newly-aquired 'zula:
(miserable mirror shot, it's on my left side)

The angle is perfect for me, as vert carry it too awkward and I am too skinny for horizontal carry.
I tighten it up all the way removed from the belt, then feed it through the Wilderness 5 stitch.
I would love to be able to have another loop of cord to make it super-stable, but the doubled-up cord holds surprisingly well.
I kind of like the slight movement, as it helps to sit more comfortably.

Any comments/criticisms are welcome :)

Does that ever poke you in the back if you bend over backwards alittle bit?

Great pics guy's. Let's keep'em coming!

No sir. The only problem I have when carrying the ESEE 3 that way is when
I do bend/twist it creates a gap between the knife and my body and sometimes my shirt will get caught there. Not a big deal but when It happens you have to re-adjust your shirt.
