Not sure how it happened really, just really like that particular knife. There are a few users in there too. That picture will either convince someone to buy the knife or cause them to completely give up.

The original Para Military is what got me hooked on knives, though ironically didn't see much use. Was a beater and poorly sharpened when I bought it second hand. That and the design showed it's again when I starting discovering over companies and knives in general. When I got the Para Military 2, it was a breath of fresh air. I can truly appreciate every change they've made since it is one amazing knife. Definitely glad I got it.

Makes for a great lil brother to my Military.

I had my first Para with a SE blade and just loved the cutting power. I used that knife for almost everything from food prep to gardening. All of a sudden I found myself really hooked on the overall design. Next was the CPM-D2, and it avalanched from there. Still waiting on the green Para2s.
It's not for everyone, some folks just don't like it. Luckily, I don't have that problem. :D As for the Military, it's one of those knives that will become a legend like the Buck 110. Truly terrific knives for not a lot of coin.

I think the Military is close to being there already. Though I think the Buck 110 still has a much larger following, not sure if it'll be matched by the Military.

Pretty crazy to think the Military came out in 1996 and hasn't really change at all. Reason I say that, is that I don't think the design looks old or outdated to me.

You are right, on all counts. As far as iconic status is concerned, that might be relegated to the Delica or Endura. The only significant difference I can see on the regular Military is the G10 has gotten thicker. The 440V I have has very thin G10, compared to the current models.

That is a plus, feels pretty beefy now.

I think you're right on the delica/endura point, those definitely seem like their staple knives. Makes sense given their sizes and prices, delica being probably the more popular of the two.

Just noticed the picture. :( Great collection there, again.

Now where is everyone else?
