I got my brown ZT 0561 in the mail from my buddy Dave today. It's an incredibly smooth and superbly made folder, and definitely one of the finest production pieces I've ever seen or handled:thumbup: While admiring it, I got to thinking about all of my Kershaws and what great blades they are.
The last year and a half since I've started making knives I haven't had as much time or money for collecting my favorite factory blades, but I've managed to maintain decent group of Kershaws. I have many more but these are some of the more special, not seen every day models. Kershaw really has produced some truly amazing stuff over the years!!
Here are a few pics of some of my Kershaws.....
From the left:
1- Ti ZDP 189 Mini Cyclone, selective speedsafe assisted opening, awesome little blade, hard to find. I happen to know that one person has hoarded about 90% of the market!
2 - S60V Blur........no, not a blem. One of the extremely rare 13 blades that made it past quality control and actually were sold without the XXXX stamp. One of my all time favorite models to boot.
3 - ZT 0551, first run serial #0033, what a great, stout folder!
4 and 5 - My green and blue titanium Ken Onion Speed Bumps, both serial #1004, a matched set! Total twist of fate, don't even ask me how it happened.
6 - Kershaw RJ Martin Volt, serial #0066, M390 steel and composite blade tech at it's finest.
7 and 8 - A couple of Speedforms, serial #'s 107 and 153, pure stabby elegance with Elmax blades
9 - The ZT 0561 that arrived today, serial #0091, words can't describe how nice this folder is......
10 - Possibly the crown jewel, my Kershaw Tilt, serial #007 from batch of the very first 10 to ever leave the factory, and a gift from a good friend. Wow, this knife still blows my mind!
Thanks for looking everybody!
