I'm sure there's a few to be seen on the porch. Would y'all mind showing them to me?

One of my earliest knives, my second knife to be exact, was an old fixed blade of some sort with a stacked leather handle. I was maybe 5 or 6 years old when I acquired it and haven't the slightest idea what became of it, but I always liked the way it felt in my hand.

Perhaps it's time for another?

My only one, but it's a good'n! Blackjack Model 125 Hunter in A2.

I prefer stacked leather in a fixed blade.

Hess Whitetail. Gave this one to a co worker before I even had a chance to use it.

The U.S. military were sure fond of stacked leather handles in WW2

PAL USN Mk 1-RH35, PAL RH36, and PAL USN Mk2-RH37. Can still see hint of original leather color in the RH36.

KaBar I bought at the Camp Smith PX in Hawaii in the early '90s and modded with a dremel. Still just a hint of the light brown the stacked leather is originally colored. Sweat, oil from the palm of my hand, and boot oil have pretty much obliterated the original color/finish.

I also have an old issued Ontario Jet Pilot Survival knife but never took a pic of its leather.

Here's a KaBar given to me in Iraq by a SGM buddy. He picked it from one of the PXs in Baghdad. The new look on the stacked leather doesn't survive long in field use (see above). I still have this one, and it's still in the blister pack.

My goodness, how beautiful!

I'm very envious. Constantly on the lookout for this specific version of Tiburon, but they're hard to find in stacked leather/steel pommel. Thanks so much for the pics :)
