Hey guys ,
Can someone tell me how to get my pictures small enough to fit within the 100kb limit? Going from my camera the pics are between 800-1000kb when moved to my computer. :grumpy:

what image viewing software are you using mikxx1?

In it there should be a resize option under an edit tab (conjecture. it WILL bethere somewhere though!). What I normally do is resize to 800x600, save, and see if that will put me under the limit. If not, I lower it from there.

I am not an image editing wiz though. Someone else may come along and give you (and me) a better solution.

Sounds good I'll look into that right away. Jasc paint shop photo album is what opens my pics.
Thanks.

It wouldn't let me resize unless I buy some fancier version of the program but I was able to crop the picture down to 59kb.

Mike Coughlin :)

You could also look into a free image-editing program, called IrfanView. I like the fact that it's free, but, perhaps because it is free, I don't think that images edited with it are as clear and sharp as images edited in a program that's been purchased.

I've learned one thing in this thread, that there's a 100kb limit at BladeForums for images. I guess that I've only used images under 100kb because I've never hit the limit. :)

I will second irfanview. for image viewing and basic image editing stuff it can't be beat. especially at its price!

Another answer would be to host the actual pix somewhere else and just link to them here. That way it doesn't matter how big the picture is. There are free image hosting sites but I'm not familiar with them as I dump my pix on one of my websites and link to them. I do try to keep the size at or below 800 x 600 so it fits on most monitors though.
