i suck at this ...as i am a virgin ...hence i have NO busses! Its hard on a newbee with so many different models out there!... i want to get a couple i am thinking of a santin jack and a game warden . i like the tiger game warden and would like to get another model about 7" blade that looks similar..... (in Color) to the tiger warden . i want to say thanks again for the picture...Lee

Is there a difference between a HOGSJTACLE, and a SJTACLE??
I thought it was the same knife only some people put the "HOG" out front.. :confused:
One LE TAC model with .220 thickness, right?
Also, did the non-LE's have a full convex grind?

If it is an LE, it is HOG. However, not all HOGs are LEs. There are three examples of HOGSJT, all with the convex profile:

The LE was satin with tigerhide. There were two non-LE versions that had DCBB finishes with either snakeskin micarta or grey G10 (like the SMOGs).
 
i just got a smog game warden ....i am looking for a larger knife that will have the same handles and blade color ...so does any of the satin jacks have the same color g 10 handles? and if they do....what about with a satin blade....

one more question....can you polish blasted blade to make it look more satin?

here is a picture of my HODCSJT3

It Has the double cut finish with special G-10 scales.

if my memory serves me correctly, I believe Garth told me that they were only about 5 of these that were made.

You absolutely can.

I took them both to a mirror finish, but it would be satin if you finished the sanding at a lower grit. (Less than 1000 grit, depending on how shiny you want it.)

Thanks Paddling man,,

It is a really sweet combo, you will have to see it in person to really appreciate it , it is definitly one of my "keepers" :eek:
