Hi Guys, just need some info, I'm looking to add a few fixed blades to the collection, I have see a few of the Above mentioned knives around with the etching on the blade, some I gather are the factory blank blades and handled elsewhere with the small rivets.
But I see a few around with the same blade etching but wood handles with emblem in the wood and larger original looking rivets.
Are these wooden handles original factory releases?

Also I have a 162UH with rather redish wood hanldes stamp seems legit, were these also factory releases or is it a later handled blank
It is the same as the one in "Matthew Clark's Collection" in Collector of Schrades R Us it comes up if you use google images.

Regards
Paul

Hi Paul, this is the PH1 made by Schrade. The handle is a golden colour wood.

I would say the 162UH should have fake bone handle, I would be carefully of any Schrade with a wooden handle... Ken

Hi and thanks ken, the PH1 I'm looking at purchasing is as you have posted above.

So much dodgy stuff around , probably more so with fixed blades, blade blanks left over then people putting some scales on them , now we gotta sift thro the rubbish

cheers Mate
Paul

Hope that helps, too many strange knives around now-a-days.

I have just had a look on eBay for a PH1, most I see have been made up from parts after Schrade closed down.
I also see some of the sellers are using genuine fake "Last day certificates". :thumbdn:
Some of them even come in the box - they did not come in... Ken.
