Picture please.

:D Hi. Could anyone tell my the easiest way to post a picture here. I did a search and came up with a couple ideas, but I have been stumped each time. :( I not very computer savvy. I have the picture on my computer, Kodak easyshare. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
 
The easiest way is to purchase a gold membership, then upload. But since that kind of advice would make me a big hypocrite, you must upload your pic to a hosting site. you then get the address of the pic from the hosting site, click on the picture of the mountain above the reply box that you type text into, which will give you /IMG tags. put the address of the pic between those tabs ( more or less automatic), and you're done.
 
A hosting site actually hosts (keeps) pictures you upload to share with family, friends, complete strangers. Hunt101.com and others exist, for free, that allow hotlinking (which makes a picture come up here instead of yoy posting a link). The directions I gave you one post ago are for hotlinking. Give it a try: Find a picture that you like (from any site), right-click the pic, you will see properites, click on it. on the properties page, you will see address: http://blah blah blah.com/blah.jpg. that is the address you are looking for.

For example, I went to gerber's site, and want to show you the Hinderer by gerber. The address is http://www.gerberblades.com/images/products/7174_lg.gif.


but, if I put that address up in the box that comes up when I hit the mountain button, I will get this:

I use TinyPic ( http://www.tinypic.com ) which was recommended to me by another forum member when i wanted to post my first pics here :) Upload is easy and they provide you with the UBB code that you can copy & paste into your message directly so the image shows up. Oh and yeah, it's free.
 
Thank you everyone for your help! I now have my 2 pistures up on Photobucket.com. Now how do I get them to post here?
 
Read Dijos' posts above. The "mountain" icon he speaks of is right above the box you type your post into, and when you put your mouse cursor on it it says "insert image." It looks like a landscape picture of a mountain (insofar as any computer icon looks like anything in particular....)

Pic in your PhotoBucket's page should look similar to this one below . . .

Now just copy everything in that Img block and paste it in.
