How are you guys posting you're pictures in with the text body as opposed to a link in the "attach file" area? Thanks, I hope thats not too dumb of a question!

At the bottom of the post there is a box that says browse click on that and select the image from you pc. If you have problems with that your image may be too large, so reduce the size.

You use to be able to have the picture open automatically but that seems to be not working anymore.

you placed the address within the code frames.

A lot here are far more knowledgeable than I and may help you further.
Ian.

Pardon my ignorance, but where is Ryhope, Australia? Looks nice and sunny there, just where I would like to be right now.

I know how to add a picture using the "Attach file" method, I want to know how to add a picture to the "Message" area so that the picture comes up automatically with the text message when the post is opened. I hope that explains it a little better, thanks.

That I know very little about, this whole IMG thing is waaay beyond me....... Thats why I pay the money for attachments:D

I used to get the IMG thing to work but after my membership renewal I haven't gotten it to work anymore:confused:

Hey Dwayne,
That’s not Roo do, that’s Buff stuff.:D
Pic was taken about fifteen years ago beside my wife’s dad’s packing shed, he was a market gardener. Tough life.

Cobalt,
From memory it was about 100 degrees there at the time, I had not long come down from the gulf, so I wasn’t feeling it too much.:D

Randucci,
I had a terrible feeling that I wasn’t telling you something that you didn’t already know, after I re read your post. A lot here post pics hosted from a web site, you need software to upload unless your running XP. Your service provider should be able to help you, most give web space for hosting pics. Mine does, I just haven’t worked out how to use it.

Strabs,
I don’t thing it has anything to do with your membership renewal, I think the facility got turned off a couple of months ago??
Ian.

Ian, the only reason I mentioned the membership thing was that before mine lapsed and went basic I could do the IMG posting. A few weeks later when I renewed to gold I couldn't do the IMG posts anymore.
No big deal, I just think something's out of sync on my end:p

I'm a little slow on the computer technicals;) I just learned that I can take the highest res. pics and shrink them down to the forums file size limit. clear pics are pretty sweet:D

Randucci,
Being able to upload and attach pics from BFC is the easiest way. If I understand you correctly, what you want is something like this:
assaultshaker2.jpg

Works if you have a place to upload your pics to (Host) Doing that really isn't too hard! (I found out!)
You either need FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software or you can do it with your browser if you know the FTP info from your host.
It could look like this in the address line
"ftp://myplace-upload.tele.inet.dk" The "ftp" makes the browser connect to the site with the ftp protocol and you will be able to drag and drop files from your own PC to the ftp site, just like copying stuff from one folder to another.
Lots of internet service providers offer something like 5 or 10 MB free storage for your pics or homepage, which is what I'm using!
When you have the address (URL) of your host (something like "www.somewhere.com/myplace/") and you have uploaded a pic called "knife.jpg", you can use the IMG button and simply write the URL into the box that appears like this: "http://www.somewhere.com/myplace/knife.jpg" and it should be there! Note that the " are there to prevent blind links showing up. They should be left out when doing this for real!
If you get the dreaded "Red X" it's either a typo, wrong URL or you may have exeeded your "bandwidth" for the day! (too much "traffic" so to speak!)
Hope it helped a little. You'r welcome to shoot me an e-mail if you want more detailed info! (theporcupine@mail.dk)

edited because I forgot to put my brain in gear before posting!:D

The image tag no longer works for me either. I can upload the picture to BFC and it works in the link, but when I try to copy and paste the BFC picture url into IMG tags, it no longer works. I can only guess Spark turned it off to save server space.
