Ok, just a mechanical question here: surprisingly after all this time I did not know this. I deleted some attached pics to a thread, but did not remove them by using the BF user CP tag, and left the img tags in the post and the pictures still show!
Am I to understand that I did not have to delete all those old pics I nuked last year to free up space? That I could have just removed them individually from the posts but left the image references still in the message? Doh!
The only change is that no attachment shows as being on the thread, and the little thumbnails don't show at the bottom of my post. I just did it with my S-1 thread, and exited and logged back in and the pics are still there. So it's like I can post all the pics I want without using server space beyond what is allocated for the text?
Just trying to figure this out. Thanks for any info.
P.S. Just checked all of Steve's pics and sure enough pics in the post but no thumbnails. So obvious I missed it. Can't believe I deleted all those old pics for nothing.
