I am debating on my next Spydie purchase and was wondering if anyone had any side by side pics of the Tenacious with either a Para Military or a Carbon Fibre Sage? Trying to get a size comparison, as I have the Tenacious and am using that as a reference. Thanks for anyone who can oblige (no stores close by to see first hand).

Sure, here are 3 I took, hopefully they are helpful:

The actual handle of the Tenacious is bigger, but because the Sage has a finger choil there is actually more room for your fingers. They also grip a bit differently, the blade on the Tenacious tends to get pushed down by my thumb against the thumb ramp, but the Sage feels very centered and natural in my hand.

Great pic, thnx! In size the Sage looks like the Persistence, but as you say the choil would make the grip a lot more natural. I feel like I have to choke up on my Persistence so that would be a good improvement.

Your welcome!
As you can see the Tenacious has more blade and the Para has more handle.
You are looking at 2 opposite spectrums though...you have poor man Tenacious at $37 shipped vs. Para at $133 shipped. I like the Para 100x more, but Tenacious is VERY good for the price point and can take a wicked edge for what it's worth

I agree fully on the Tenacious, it is by far the best value in knife for the dollar that I have seen. In fact, I was so impressed that I wanted to see what their better lines were like. The Para Military and the Sage were the only other two that jumped out at me due to their size and shape. From the pic's I am leaning more towards the Para to start, Sage down the road.

I am curious when you say you are 100 times more happy with the Para, can you articulate reasons why? Are the quality, fit and finish that much better?

Not just about the Paramilitary, but about all higher-end Spydies: Yes. It isn't that the Tenacious feels cheap, but the higher-end Spydies just have a better feel to them. The G10 on the Tenacious doesn't feel quite like the G10 on other knives. The Tenacious opens up great, but the higher-end Spydies just have a smoothness about them that can't really be replicated. Instead of that hard click, they open up with a much more satisfying snap. The Tenacious is a great knife, but to me there really is no comparison to a higher end Spydie.

npueppke pretty much shares my same opinion. You have to remember you have a $37 and a $133 knife give or take. The price difference shines in fit and finish. You jump from 8cr13mov to CPMs30v, the G10 is much grippier, the handle is more ergonomic and overall feels better in the hand, it has a finger choil for close intricate cuts, the torx screws won't strip on you [the screws for my pocket clip on the Tenacious stripped while trying to change the position of the clip], and it has a very nice tip for puncturing, has a compression lock, weighs less I believe, made in the US [matters to some].

There's more to add im sure, these are just off the top of my head. :p
