Actually i am looking for some pictures!
I am doing a series of Bowie knives and really need to see some good pics of Bowie knives.

Can someone point me toward a good website or book that has old Bowies...
Your help is greatly appreciated as I am planning on doing period pieces.

Here is a shot of one of JD Smith's western bowies, with a sheath of his own making. Very nice, the tang goes about 2/3 into the stag handle so it's very solid! Forged guard as well...

The Antique Bowie Knife Book from Atlanta Cutlery is as good as it gets for Bowies, only $350 per copy last time I checked. It does deliver the goods, though; it's just too expensive to flatten against a scanner.
