Does anyone happen to have a picture of a Case XX 62009 (Barlow) with a Spey blade for the master?

Any help would be appreciated.

Appreciate the pic! That is actually the knife that I just bought. I thought Case discontinued the barlow with the master spey back in the 1940's but upon inspection it appears to be the genuine article. Was trying to find one to compare it too.

Oh how funny. I think that's the real deal. I've seen one before but can't find that photo.

Case never made the 009 barlow with a a spay master blade in the XX stamp (or newer). The only stamp that it was made in was the Case Tested pre 1940 stamp.

So the two above are fakes?

Not a fake but a reshaped master blade. It may have originally been a "razor" master blade. It is not uncommon to see those with heavily reground/reshaped blades since not many people understood the idea behind the razor or "one armed man" blade and wanted to change the blade to a lower profile.

I agree, the blade has been reshaped; the nail nick is much too close to the end of the blade.

The blade is quite short for the knife as well.

A REAL spey-bladed Case is a rare treasure!

Yes;

I have owned Case Tested barlows with the spear master (most common), clip master (almost as common), and sheepfoot master (scarce).

Case also made the 009 barlow in the Tested era with a razor master blade (very rare) and a spay master blade (also very rare). I have never owned either of these.

Other scarce Tested barlow variations include the junior barlow (made with green bone handles and with white composition handles) and the 009 barlow in white composition handles.
