The first "Pictures and History" thread is here:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=601534

and a "roll call"
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=608738

and now... even more pictures and history. I've scanned 27 or so catalog, literature, and Ethan Becker's ORIGINAL photographs of things Beckerish, and am making them available to the fanboys (that's us!)...

On to the pictures then...

Thanks for the history part 1 and 2. I like Beckers a lot-only have 2, a campanion and necker-but the magnum camp and 7 are fantastic.

the more the merrier.

i keep dreaming i'll goto some out of the way backwoods country shop, and there will be a couple cases of classic Beckers, priced to sell... you know, $25 each, or 3 for $60. not sure what i'd DO with 10 of each of brutes, and magnum camps, and machaxes and such. it's a nice dream ;)

Does anyone have any extra info on the warrior machax from the photos? I've just curious, I've never seen that one before.

i've seen and held as many as two of these things :)

if you look in the photos thread (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=601534), you'll see TWO different warriors. they are probably the second rarest Becker out there afaik (next to the fabled BK8), so actually, possibly the rarest "official" Becker :)

sadly, one of those (the one with the blue background) had major inclusions/cracks/etc (probably a factory second) and was sent back to the seller - caveat emptor and all that. i'm sure it resold though. "like new never used perfect condition" it was not. alas.

the other one is minty mint :)

according to lore, only about 50 were made, which seems odd given that they had a nice spread in the catalog scanned above. special military request or some such. it's lighter and "faster" and more "fightin'er" than the machax. also perhaps not quite as robust.

otherwise, nearly the same as it's contemporary machax.

look under specs and it mentions leather sheath option ? I wonder if that was the same for the BK1,One of my brutes have a leather sheath

In the Blackjack era, sheaths were either by VERY sweet tactical style Eagle Creek or some very solidly made leather. This included the brute, machax, campanion, and the Rheinhardt.

Some later campanions came in a weird nylon sheath. Divtuls only came in nylon afaik.

afaik, Blackjack era magnum camps only came in leather with the special pin sheath (by ... name - pretty cool setup).

Here's a photo of some of the leather:

i've never seen anything like that before. looks quite well made though.

interesting thing: i've seen a few/lot? of original Becker leather sheaths for sale, most notably for the magnum camp (hah), and one or two for machax and brutes... several for the rheinhardts.... one for a campanion. never have i seen the original eagle creeks sheaths for those models, esp the machax, for sale. perhaps they're just "generic" enough to have escaped notice.

I talked with the lady from who I purchased it from ,she lives in Alaska it was her husbands and it was in a Generic Green Camillus box no sticker telling model, with leather sheath ,it was purchased new like this and I am second owner. she said her husband used it on one trip and never used it again,as you can see the little use on blade. It came with Generic BK brochures as well, shown different models & specs ,and a care sheet
