Pictures do not show up!

I always had this problem, and now i finally decided to do something about it.

About 30% of the pictures on the forums are displayed in a little box with a red X in the middle.

I went to control panel, and everything is fine, i ticked show images.

Sometimes members attempt to hotlink a picture and it doesn't work, but not 30% of the time. There's something wrong at your end. My guess is you have a slow internet connection and it's timing out before the pictures load. Keep hitting refresh until they all show, or right-click the red Xs and choose "show picture."

One other possibility: if you use the search function you'll often find old threads and the pictures no longer exist on the hosting sites. If you're looking at a thread a year old then 30% of the images could well be missing.
