Okay so I'll have to wait till I get home to upload the good pictures but for now I thought I'd post some I'm taking on my phone just to get thigns rolling

We've come down to tenessee and have so far been horseback riding, mini golfing, swimming and eaten a few times :)

I also stopped in the Smokey Mountain Knife works and Workshop tools, picked upa few small things just for the ehck of it

they have a small "custom knife suppliy area" right now, didn't find much of interest in my budget but did pick up some Dymonwood scales, I've been looking them up to m=not much fanfare, people seem to asociate them with cheap knives but I liked the color on these walnut and "earth" sets, what do you think, wasted money?

They've also started selling custom knives there

I spent most of my time looking these over, they need some JK's in there

and a picture of Iris riding a little train around the new "mall" area thingy

now I know I can upload pictures form my phone I'll try and take better pictures, and use my phone to take pictures of the JK's and HK's I brought with me :)

Looks like you are having fun. I`ve used dymondwood before, it`s actually a good choice, kind of a mix of micarta and wood.

Always nice to go on vacation and go to a knife store. The last vacation I went on I went to a local leather shop.(spent to much money there). Your daughter looks like she is having fun. My daughter is 30 years old and still renumbers all the fun things we did together.

You were within 100 miles of me. If you ever get back down this way again you should take a drive on the Cherohala Skyway in Monroe county. Its well worth the trip.

thanks guys, and I'll be sure to try that RC.

we ended up "just trying" dollywood for the first time this trip. It was packed!

carftsman'svill was pretty cool though

I found a eat leather store in there to, picke dup some thigns for the box o goodies thread no doubt

kids had fun

iris loved this slide, of all the rides we tried the lside won :s

sam likes teh water rides better

in between all of this i grabed a few shots of some knives

and spent some time searching for these :)

that's all for now

Looks like a nice trip, Peter.

I would probably spend a lot of time in those areas too, and I don't smoke.:D

But it looks like the little ones had fun, so that's what counts.

Great pics, I love threads like these. Thanks for taking us along.

thanks, glenn, i always do to so thought i'd try. i have some mroe to update when i get straight and find the camera :)

A great trip - and looks like the weather was cooperative.

I am catching up from almost three weeks out of country, glad to be back home.

It rained the entire time I was in Belgium (1 week), and this morning here is just like it was in Belgium, drizzling and overcast.

Lily on the slide reminded me of when my kids were small, there was a large (25 feet tall) spiral slide in a local park - the kids used to like going there, and that slide was in place when I was younger.

The old things are good things in many cases.

Thanks for the pictures.

best
