I would love to see some photos of the Alaskan guides. Actually it doesnt even have to be just the 110s. It seems as when I do a search a few I see have very different colors. Some are real dark wood while some are almost a rose color. Any of ya have them? I have 2 of the stags and use to have the 192. Thinking of get some of them. Any pictures would be appreciated.

The AG is on the far left. I removed the logo. BP on the right.

Ok here is a dumb question for anyone who may have bought one recently. The blades are the tangs stamped like they use to be or are the ethched? I was just looking at a youtube video and the ag in it did nt look like the tang was stamped. It looked more like eithe an acid etch or lazer etched or something. Anyone know?

Here are a few AG's. Take a look at the two stag 110's the blade coating on one is gloss jet black and the other is GM gray.

JB4570. I have the same thing on my two stag Ags. My carry one is jet black and glossy, the other is mor of a gray flat finish. I actually like both coatings. The rosewood handle of yours looks nice. I was doing a search and came across this one. I know it was a special run in ironwood. But look at the tang. Are all the new ones like this? I seen a few on videos which had tangs like this. Its post # 27.

by the way that little 196 is sweet.

Badhammer. That looks real nice. Ok looking at your tang stamp is what I'm talking about. It may just be thet way I'm looking at it but the buck 110 USA doesnt look like its actually stamped into the metal. Could you please tell me if Im looking at this wrong.

Your 2 stag versions have different blades, one with the upsidedown T Is the old style with the more pronounced tip and lighter coating, the other is the newer style blade with a thicker point and darker dlc coating from black widow.I have both of those and noticed it as well.

The later models are now etched and not stamped.

Thanks. I aprrecite it. I knew there was talk of the custom shop doing it but wasnt aware of the AG. Is this just on the 110s or on all the s30v ag series?

I think we're getting two different marking methods confused by calling the markings on the new AG's an etch. It's more of a print like the logo on the blade. The S30V blades from the custom shop are actually etched into the metal and are totally different than the markings on the AG's.

I believe that all the AG's are now marked the same way. Here's a picture of my AG Vanguard and as you can see, it's a print, not an etch.

I think there was a thread about this but can't find it at the moment. IIRC it's lazer etched or something like that. I'll acutally look at the knife when I get home. Whoops. I missed Dave's post above where he explained it correctly.

Thanks guys. Its not a real big deal but I do like the old stamp method a little better. Anyhow those are nice looking knives. Here my 2 110s.The vanguard I no longer have, but want to replace it.

Actually this photo shows the difference in blades coating on mine. And yes the 192 is a stripped ag.
