I sharpened the blade to 17 degrees per side and mostly used it to cut zip ties, blue hose, tape, and a little cardboard. My coworker was going to cut some zip ties that were holding some blue hose right up against some old copper tube and I offered him the knife to do it and he said he could do it with the pliers. After he failed with the pliers he comes back and asks me for the knife, next thing I see he is wedging it between the tube and zip ties while scrapping the edge along the copper tube. Surprisingly, the edge doesn't look damaged.

Yup, I was going to bring either the 550HG or the Spyderco Pacific Salt since the weather has been mostly rainy. So far the knife has come in contact with magnesium oxide, diesel, and water among other things. I haven't had any problems.
