Hello; being new to Khukris, is there a place that has pictures and specs of the many knives that pass through HI but are not shown on their Web Site? By the end of the week I will own a dozen or so of these great knives and I'm sure there is that many or more that I would like to own, if I knew what they were.
Thanks in advance.

Stay tuned, and you will see. Yangdu is unwrapping knives as we speak and this year new models have poured in. The first glimpse of a new knife is almost, but not quite always on these pages. Look at DOD pictures.
Some enterprising person may one day collect and publish the picts in the forum.

well, a LOT of them are of course shown in one form or another at http://www.himalayan-imports.com/khuk1.html if you see the new products and special runs... some of those specials are now common DOTD items, though i've never really seen a good description of a jange, it must be me that missed it :>

also, if you magically use advanced search, user=yangdu and perhaps a few choice keywords to narrow it down later, it SHOULD list most of the past deals of the day, then you can browse pictures and descriptions and ... (oh wait, i suggested that as a sticky ;>)

DEAL OF THE DAY FOR 2/14 GO GO GO ;) just kidding folx.

I thought that it would be nice to have a line up of all the different models on the site, but after going through a bunch of DOTDs I don't really need a list any more. Though I do have one question...why was the "new" kobra only listed once? (it was from DOTD 08/17/04 and looked kinda like a streched AK)

If i remember right, that was during the "Kamis Gone Wild" period where they were encouraged to get crazy and make new stuff. I really liked that big kobra. Bura made it, did he not? Who got it? I was hoping to see more of them like that, but I think it's a one-of.

It looks like Bill Sanders picked up the kobra, and yes it was by bura. Very interesting peice.

Ha, everytime I look at that picture, I think of a funhouse mirror.

Skyler thanks for posting that link. I look up Ferrous' posts all the time. I wish he still posted here. He was knowledgable about wierd stuff thats hard to find experts at.
