Pictures of my first knife

My father-in-law is a knife maker, Ive posted some pictures of his work on here before. I got to spend some time last week with them and I was able to make my first knife from a couple of blades I purchased. LIttle by little he showed me how to do everything, from design to finish. Needless to say , I learned alot. Here are some pictures:

the stone is turquoise and the plate on the other side is a spiral petroglyph, it was acid etched into the plate. the blade is damascus, and was purchased from ilver damascus USA. The plate, guard and ring around the turquoise is all silver.
