Here are some pictures of my new Blackjack 129.

I really like this handel. The taper to the front is so nice. Makes it part of my hand. I know i can push it forward and then bring it back without slippage. Really nice.

Next to my Bark River Shining Mountain Bowie of which once you play with it for awhile it starts to feel really good in your hand. I still want to make it a modified pommel but for fine work and chocking up and using the choil the palm swell really keeps the hand forward.

Pretty cool knives, both the Bark River Shining Mountain and the Blackjack 12-9. It is not a "Model 129". Would love to own both of them, but to be honest about it I have absolutely no use for either of those knives. I'm not looking to spend $300 or so for something like that.

I like both of those, for different reasons. The 12-9 is like a Buck 120 General on steroids. To me, it's probably a better fighting knife than the SMB, though I've no doubt the Barkie could remove an arm without too much trouble. I really like the continuous curve of the edge on the SMB...

Excellent!
Congrats on the new 12-9
Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

Yes i know but every time i put 12-9 everybody replies with 129 so i joined the club.
I think it's folks on smartphones who don't want to look for the "-". :D When I first read your post, the 12-9 thing occurred to me, but I was actually hoping Blackjack came out with a 129 in their classic line (had to check ;)). I keep thinking about getting a BJ127. I think it's one I would like. If I got one, it would have a simple handle.
