I scanned some of the pictures from their new catalog and put them up for your viewing pleasure at
http://www.gbknives.webprovider.com/crkt.html

It takes a little while to load up but I think it is worth the wait. See the Mirage Titanium, M-16 Carbon Fibre, Point Guard, KFF, Navajo, and Urban Shark. Also included their Steel Comparison Chart. All these knives are to be out within the next 90 days.

Thanks geobar! I REALLY like that KFF, so much that I might not make it a trainer for MY KFF!

That pic shows pretty good detail of the lock; I don't think it will get too much in the way of doing a saber grip. The knife still weighs 7 oz with ZYTEL handles; to me that's a good thing. Now I gotta get a small KFF for my son, two large KFF's for me, and a Point Guard for...me, and an Urban Shark for...me, and then a carbon fiber....wait a minute!

Whew, almost lost it there!

That point guard knife is dope! I want one

Man!, CRKT is really picking up. I've seen the KFF pictures from the before. But not the others. This Mirage Titanium is a nice Gents knife (I have a thing for nicely finished titanium handles

.

But the AUS6 steel ??!!

AUS-6M? Hmm... at 55-57 Rockwell, that's around as much as AUS-8.. I wonder how this steel would perform...

Thanks for the pictures geobar.
I have to wonder though...
Were those pictures taken with a digital camera or with a more traditional one?

Ouch! :-)

Jim

Hey folks!

Have a closer look at the titanium Mirage, the steel is something called "Acuto 440" wich seems to be quite different from AUS-6.
It has a rather high carbon content and hardness at 59-60 rc.

Not sure Jim how the original pictures were taken. I just scanned the pictures out of their catalog on my old Mustek scanner.

Ask and Ye shall receive!
I was pitching a bitch just a while back about that AUS6M steel at Rc55-57 and Looky! Looky!
ACUTO 440? Hardened to Rc59-60?!

This has GOT to be tried!
And it's on the M-16! Even Better!!

Oh, BTW check out the steel analysis chart at the bottom of the page. It tells about the ACUTO 440's ingredients. Looks like a contender.
THANK YOU CRKT!!!!!

What I like about the ACUTO 440 is that it looks like 440C with vanadium! Can't wait.

7.4 oz!! Hmmm... this Kasper model has some potential. A trainer for sure. But the location of that thumb lock piece...
