I am ordering a custom sliver slip joint with engraving and I would like to see pictures of some more recent stuff than what he has on his website. I want to make sure that what I have in mind for the engraving will really mesh well with his style. I'm pretty sure it will and even if it doesn't he'll make it his own. Or he'll tell me to piss off:D

This is my first custom order and I'm a little nervous for some reason. It feels weird being on the other side of the deal. It is a lot of fun and very exciting though. I wish I had decided to do this years ago.

So if you guys have any pictures please post them up so we can all enjoy. Even if there isn't any engraving I'd still love to see what you've got.
 
Tim won't tell you to piss off until after he has your money... I can direct you to a discussion about Tim that should give you pause... BTW, there are MANY people that find themselves in the same boat, but I only want to speak for myself.. Sorry to be a downer, but Tim's a loser.. Best, Rich

I don't know about loser, Rich....but he does legitimately suffer from clinical depression, and this really affects his ability to function as an efficient businessman/knifemakers.....

The outcome is the same, but I thought we should be honest about the cause.....some people are highly deficient by nature, and some by design. He can't seem to get a leg up on his illness.

STeven, no my friend, this is much, much more than that.. I stand by my choice of words.. If fact, I considered the wording carefully. Is 4+years patient enough..With $3500.00 sent to "buy materials"..

I will ask one of the moderators if it is proper to list a link to another forum..

Sorry to hear about issues dealing with Tim. I don't know him but he participates on some other forums that I also frequent. He is a talented guy and i've seen some exceptional knives made by him.

Tim sure is one strange duck!!
Some say he is a master, some say his work is the best, some say he is worth every penny of the $5000 plus his knives sell for. Some even say Tim acts the way he does to bait folks into flamefests ( and he is a master baiter)!!

But EVERYONE says Tim is an idiot, anus, moron, scumbag, pedophile, etc., etc.
