Hey guys. I want to get a thread together of your best fresh & saltwater catches from last year. Can be multiples of the same fish, but post ones that you thought outdid your catches from the previous years. Weight and size if you can!

This one wouldnt stop moving, so it eventually landed in the sand off the hook. It was fine, nothing injured, slime coat still in tact. I recaught it a month or so later. 5lber, i believe you can see the length, 21" if i recall correctly.

This freakin thing was a beast. He heated up my drag, it seized for .001 seconds and he snapped my brand new 7' medium heavy graphite rod. Oh well, it's a good story.

All the fish in the previous pictures with the acception of the striper were released. I fish at a private pond which some gentleman stock with their catches, so i only see it fair to release the fish which aren't mine for recatching and spawning next year. It's my favorite place to fish. I got my girlfriend into fishing by bringing her here. She caught the first 4+lb largemouth last year out of her, me and my buddy. Let's see your catches! I also caught a 33" striper right after the one i posted above, but i let it go. It was legal for keeping.

Thanks for the catch & release at the pond, we do appreciate it.
I hope to see you there this spring! Sorry we never bumped into each other last year.

No problem. Im going to start spring bass fishing soon. Want to plan a little fishing at some point? I walk through the woods so it takes me less than 10 mins to get there.

Here's a shovelhead I caught last fall from the Muskingum River here in S.E. Ohio. 41 inches long and right about 40 lbs.
Took some shots and turned him loose.

nice pond man. cattails and pads? freaking nice! we cannot get pads to grow in our pond, mainly due to depth. our pond is generally deep. the cattails disappeared long ago.. dunno why the water is very clear and is spring fed. we do have tons of hydrilla.. that pisses most off, not me i love it

i speared this snapper last year. 24 pounds.it was a real old one, stomach full of abalone(imagine that coming out the other end, shell and all !)its real big for around here so i got it mounted. thanks for looking
