Pictures of your handguns while being carried

I'm looking at buying an EDC pistol here soon (will be 21 in April) and I'm looking for some carry ideas.

I am looking at either the Kahr PM9 or a Kel-Tec P3AT .380.

I'll probably end up with the Kel Tec, as it is quite a bit cheaper and I'm a poor college student.

Just looking to see how you guys carry. I wear jeans/cargo shorts with a tshirt or sweatshirt during the warmer months, and jeans/sweatshirt/wool jacket in the winter months.

At work I have to wear a shirt and tie, so my carry options are going to be hindered that. While I dont like them, I think an ankle holster is my only option there.

I carry my Seecamp in a pocket holster. When I carry any of my other guns, I carry IWB. I am pratial to Blade-Tech holsters. I carry 2 magazines weak side as well. I have a tuckable Aker holster for my revolver in the summer time. I dress according to how I am carrying. I would suggest that you buy yourself a very high quality gun beltm and do not buy cheap crappy holsters either.

I carry a Glock 27 in One of these

I carry concealed.
I wear long sleeve shirts that are not tucked in, or sweatshirts.

P3AT in a JS Holsters pocket holster. Works in front or rear pocket or inside jacket. The size of a regular wallet and doesn't print.

I don't have any photo of me wearing my handguns. I typically wear my smaller auto...a Glock 27 (I also have a Sig Sauer, SigPro 2340). The Glock 27 looks a tad larger than what you're looking at, but I'm sure thicker (due to the higher capacity magazine...staggered ammo). The reason I picked it was the amazing stopping power of the .40. I also found it as an accurate and easy to shoot gun. I was quite surprised by that. I'm not a great marksman, but that gun and I just "clicked." :)

I prefer to carry my Glock in a leather Galco holster just like the first image attached. The holster pivots the gun slightly forward and is designed to carry the gun at the waist, half the distance between one's side (directly under the armpit) and the tail bone (small of back). It tucks right behind the hip perfectly and comfortably. But because it is an outside-the-pants carry style, I use it less often. I'd like to get a Galco that carries the gun nearly horizontally at the small of my back (like the fourth image attached). I almost bought this model instead of what I have...both would be nice! :D

More frequently, I use a nylon Uncle Mike's (just like the second holster pictured) carried inside-the-pants near my tail bone. It's very easy to take on/off and does stay on the pants without accidentally coming off. There's a neat little "catch" on the the end of the clip to keep the clip from coming loose from between the pants and belt...it catches on the bottom of the belt, not letting the tip of the clip slip past the bottom of the belt...very secure!. I'd like to get a quality leather inside-the-pants Galco to replace this Uncle Mike's holster. I typically prefer leather and nicer accessories (for just about everything in life), but the Uncle Mike's does work very well.

For my SigPro 2340, I have a leather holster...paddle style (just like the third image attached). But due to the size of the gun, I don't carry it often, but it is a sweet gun/holster/carry setup!

As you can tell, I'm a huge Galco fan. Their leather screams "quality," looks wonderful, is manufactured at the highest levels, and works perfectly! They're worth every penny..........unfortunately, lots of pennies.

EDIT 1: After I wrote this post, I remembered I previously posted in a different thread photos I've taken of my guns/holsters. Here's that post with the photos I took.

EDIT 2: You better check your work's policy on handguns in the workplace!!!!!!!! At most businesses, this is the easiest way to get fired and ushered off the premises by security (if they don't call the police to do so)...they are not going to care whether you have a permit to carry it. Most of those workplace policies include leaving your gun in your car (if the car is on their premises). A pocket knife can cause problems, too. If they are "gun friendly," you have the best job in the world! ;) Just a big FYI! :)

[BTW...images below are from the manufacturer's websites.]

Goldtanker would you recommend that holster? That's the gun I'm going to be carrying, that looks like a very simple and effective setup. Have you ever used the clip that Kel Tec sells for that gun? I'm wondering how secure it really is.

These aren't mine, but I admire the guns these girls are carrying...

It's not called a concealed handgun for no reason.

We all understand that. A picture/description of your rig would be nice.

Really looking for opinions on anyone who has used the clip that mounts straight on to a pocket pistol.

I played with the clip that mounts directly onto a Glock. Specifically the Glock 30 in my case. I would rate it as a short term method. For example you are at home but need to run to the store. Slip it quickly into the belt and go.

Downsides in the Glock mounted clip are: It isn't comfortable for long, daily wear. The clip goes over the loaded chamber indicator, so eliminates that feature in a dark environment. Also the clip precludes and other type of holster (or at least any that I use).

I don't remember if "Clip-Draw" was the name of the product I tried, but if it wasn't it is very similar. Here is a quicky picture for those who don't know what I'm typing about. http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=glock+clip+mount&hl=en&lr=&safe=active&sa=X&oi=froogle&ct=title

I carry every day, and have for years. I always have my Keltec P32 with me, pocket carry, in an inexpensive Uncle Mike's. I normally carry OWB using holsters from this manufacturer - www.comp-tac.com

They make a great product, and their customer service is unsurpassed.

Here in TX it is more often hot than not, so shorts and loose shirts are the norm. I also often wear a vest of some type or other, but not the pockety photo or safari types, too goofy looking.

I sort of wish those girls weren't concealing the big guns.

Here's another P3AT in a holster. Prints nice and flat in shorts or jeans. One of my EDC's.

The holster is made by R.J. Hedley down in Florida. http://hedleyholsters.com/

I have the clip on my 3AT. It is very secure. I would highly recomend it. I forget that I have the gun on me. IWB or in cargo pockets.

those clip thingies, on glocks, have always scared me, too easy to pull the trigger imho, i prefer to pack glocks in a holster which covers the triggerguard myself.

they work fine on "J" frames, 1911s, etc though,

the first thing I thought when I saw one of those. . . "I would end up shooting myself in the crotch".

i was scared of shooting myself in the butt lol, i like to slide it back behind my hip and i could see something catching the trigger and "boom".

then "ouch".

ya have to be carefull with glocks i know someone who shot himself in the big toe while playing with one, it was a .40 i bet it hurt, looked like it did anyway lol..........

Oh did I forget to mention that part? :D

To help prevent a self inflicted dick wound, a Saf-T-Block is a good idea with the clip thingie

But if you have to go through all that trouble, you might just save yourself the trouble and purchase a quality holster from the get go. ;)

I don't care for those clip things. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer to carry my gun in a holster.
