this may be a stupid question but how do i post a pic? when i click on the insert image icon it asks me for a url? i know what a url is. but for my pics?
i just got two knives in the mail today and i would love to write a review on them and i would like to include pics.

The pics have to be hosted somewhere. Get yourself a photo hosting account at someplace like Photobucket, ImageShack, Flickr, etc. These sites are free. Then, each photo you upload to your photo hosting site will have a distinctive URL.

The other option is if you have server space with your ISP. Earthlink, for example, provides so much space to subscribers to upload files. In that case as well, the files you upload will have their own URL.

Here's a pic I provided to someone on a different forum recently. This is part of a screen shot from my Photobucket account. See how there is link information (in four different formats) for each picture?

thank you, i thought that was what i was supposed to do because i saw some pics from a review on photobucket.

bigphil, if you use Photobucket, all you need do is click on the IMG code. Photobucket automatically copies this code into your buffer. Then all you have to do is paste into your post here. You don't even have to use the insert image icon. The commands come already embedded in the code.

Other hosting sites may be similar. Not sure.
