Joined this forum ages ago but have never posted on here as most of my work goes up on the Australian blade forum and Instagram (Room_Custom_Knives).

Anyway, thought I'd make my forum debut with this custom set I recently finished for a good customer.

Info:
Full tang Pig sticker Bowie Hybrid
Steel: 5160, satin finish, tapered tang
Blade length: 8 1/2 inches
OAL: 14 1/4 inches
Handle: Black g10 liners and bolsters, Beefwood scales with carbon fiber and brass pins.

Skinner:
Steel: 1084 with mustard patina
Blade length: 3 1/4 inches
OAL: 7 1/2 inches
Handle: Black G10, brass guard and spacers Beefwood with carbon fiber pin

Sheaths were both made by me - my first time doing leather work so definitely some improvements to be made on that front.

Thanks for looking. Comments welcome.

Cheers

Kev

That's a nice pair.
I'm in Brisbane too, we should catch up one day.
Hey, thanks! Good to know. I think there's a few of us around the area now... seems a shame we dont have more of a local community thing going on like the guys interstate. Definitely keen to catch up

Nice pair of knives. I like the functional differences in the handles.
Thanks Bob! This was the first time ive attempted a skinner/guthook style and there are a few things i would tweak if doing it again but the customer was good enough to let me experiment.

There's a few guy who're trying to put something together: Brisbane knife meets/Knife show on Facebook. I like to meet other makers, but I almost never go down to the suburbs...it's too civilized for me.
