So anyway...

A fellow forumite requested a Piggy-Back addition to my 'normal' sheath design for his SOD (Son of Dogfather):

As you can see, I molded the Kydex off-center to accomdate the sub-sheath, and am mounting the pocket over it:

Note that not all the rivets have been pounded on as yet...

Hope to have it ready for Sunday's "Koffee Klatch Knife Kult" - anyone who'd care to join us, we meet Noon at the EOC
for some Trees-N-Quiet.

Questions? Comments? Cries of outrage...?!!

Cheers,

River-8, you da man!! :D:D ooooooooooooooooooooo I am soooooo excited!!!! That looks GREAT. Can't wait to see it in person.

Oh by the way if you couldn't tell, I will be there Sunday!

More; for low-ride carry, using an "equalizer" of sorts helps the sheath from binding while moving. To make
'em, I double over some webbing, and then feed the ends from opposite directions through a brass ring:

This allows the attachment point (brass ring) to move smoothly from side-to-side:

Getting closer - all that's left is the rest of the suspension system:

Should be ready for Sunday's festivities!!

Yeah, would have been nice if you stuck around to watch me fail at fire making!! Rescue Mike gave me some pointers and helped me out a lot! By the time we left I was soaked ALL the way thru, and opted out of the de-briefing at Walking Man. By the way, thanks for letting us take turns with your Mistress!! ;):D;)

Nice lookin sheath River-8. I am in the market for a Dog Father (10"Chopper) and I like your sheaths with the pouches. I also like the drop down aspect for a theigh mount vs a belt carry. Do you have a website?

Oh boy, how'd you guys like her? Did she perform well? Hehe...

Hell yeah! She is quite a handfull though.:D

Seriously though, that is a beast of a chopper! Supprising how well it handles for how freaking long it is.
