Piggyback sheaths for RAT knives?

Does anyone know of a sheath maker that does piggyback sheaths? I'm talking about a large sheath for something along the lines of an RC-6 with a smaller sheath that is attached to it (RC-3, or Izula/HEST). I've seen a few nice leather sheaths of this type over the years but don't know who made them or if they do custom work. I carry a large fixed blade as my EDC but would also like to carry a small fixed blade for detailed tasks without walking around with multiple knives hanging off my belt. Not a fan of wearing neck knives around the neck and I'm not feeling the whole mall ninja batbelt vibe of a knife on each hip.

Hit Rainwalker up fast. His wait is 6 months out right now last I checked. From what I hear it is worth it.

Try martinsheaths.blogspot.com. This guy is a blade forum member and makes some great lookin sheaths! He does all kinds of piggybaks with firesteels and added pockets, it's not the same but I'm sure he could do them. Go to his blog and check out all the pics of both kydex and leather work he's done. Give him a call and see what he says.

I found the pics! :)

RC5/Izula piggyback I did a while ago, the RC6 would be a much easier fit with the longer blade. The Izula makes a great piggyback option as its so flat and really handy size. I have both the RC5 and RC6, I cant decide which I like better, the 6 is drawing me in though.

oops, leatherman beat me to it, I was going to suggest his sheaths. They are a very nice tight package. His sheaths feel very solid as well (just wish I had some)!

:thumbup:That's some beautiful leatherwork!

Do you think you could do that (almost exactly, except w/black leather) with the RC6 & The RC3?
[BTW,I'm definately interested]

I have several of Dwayne(leatherman) sheaths and they are top notch. Great guy to deal with as well.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate it. :)

Yes! I have both knives in shop, I'll have to get the patterns together and see what angle would be best for the RC3. Since its longer than the Izula it might have to be canted over a bit to draw smoothly.

My line is about 2 to 3 months out right now, but closing in fast, so a Spring delivery is definitely possible.

I love Rainwalkers work! I've watched him ever since he started over on the Scrapyard site and he's done nothing but constantly improve ever since. Got to meet him at Blade '08 and he's one heck of a nice fella to boot. :)

Tony, you a lefty too? :D Been one all my life! ;)

Yes sir :D I think that is where I bumped into Jeff Law, the Black sheath is for the DF&DM

Wow, amazing work all around. I'll be looking to get something made in the near future when I have some "toy money" set aside. I can see why these artists have waiting lists. I'm sure their work is even more impressive in person.

How'd I miss you?? I was hanging around the RAT booth as much as the Busse booth. Did you happen to see a tall lanky fella with a long salt and pepper beard with a daughter hanging off is rear end whining for a soda pop? :p:p
