I am new to Bladeforums and the BK&T subforum. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading everyone's posts and learning more about this fantastic line of knives!

I think I have determined my next Becker will be a BK14 (unless someone wants to take an opportunity to change my mind :) ) because I'm looking for a knife I can piggyback onto my BK2 for finer, detail work. I am curious to know if the eyelets on the sheath for the 14 line up with the eyelets on the BK2 sheath so that I could run Chicago screws through the eyelets and attach them. Planning to use cylindrical rubber spacers between the sheaths to help stabilize the rig and leave a little room between the sheaths for a small fire kit or other slim gear.

Feedback? Anyone tried this?

I have found that it works so much better if you put the 14 on a cant either forward or backwards. Personally I prefer backwards, but I also have a LOT of other stuff on my 2 sheath so the 14 came off. Granted I usually keep an 11 on my neck and something else small on my belt. My two is on a drop-ish leg set up.

I found a couple pictures.

I did some mods on my sheath and added a drop-leg setup. I wondered if I might have to set the 14 on a cant due to the shape of the BK2 sheath. Did you use Chicago screws or something different to secure them?

Welcome to our little twisted corner of the world.
Go big time and get the 24! The D2 combined with Kabar heat treat is super!

I'm a big fan of the 11!
If you want the sheath in line with the 2 sheath, just paracord the hell out of it! :D
That might be a pretty handy set up.

The 14 or 24, you won't be wrong either way.

If you want a truly dependable piggy back system, I recommend dropping some funds on a custom kydex rig from 710, Azwelke or Godspeed.

Trying to make the BK2 GRN sheath line up with the 14/24/11 sheath is an exercise in futility. It will work, as Cham has shown, but you'd be better off getting something made to fit proper. Just my opinion, which really aint worth all that much. Good luck.

Considered something from 710. I may check them out again.

BK2 with a piggybacked BK14 is far from futile, and works very well. Here is a thread I posted way back when, and this setup served me well for over a year and a half.

I said it would work, as is demonstrated. I should not have proclaimed it futile. It's just that....the holes won't line up naturally allowing an attachment to the top portion of the 14 sheath. The top is just hanging in space......the rig is now dependent on two small screws at the bottom.....which........ah forget it.

Go for it SP. If you rig it with the 14 behind the 2, then you'll be alright. In front you risk it getting caught in the various hangy things that like to grab onto equipment as you brave the bush. Good luck.

not a BK2 or a 14/24, but when you get the custom setup from azwelke, you get sheath nirvana:

Or you could try bending a little kydex yourself for your 14/24, not expensive and/or difficult to do, then you can design it to line up the way you want it.

Granite: So is that a 16 piggybacking on a 9? Nice looking setup.
