Please help out a newbie:

Do the blade grooves on the Fusion Battle Mistress serve a functioning purpose, or do they just look cool? Either way I love the Muddy I just purchased! :)

Thanks in advance...

It reduced FBM's weight. It makes a huge chopper balance better in hand.

They conjure elves.

Also really helps the blade keep from sticking in the zombies. Can't have that when you're hip-deep in zombies. :D

"If we compare a fluted barrel to one that is not fluted, both weighing the same, the fluted barrel is stiffer. This is because the fluted barrel will be of a larger diameter than the unfluted barrel of the same weight and length"

Removing metal wont make it stronger than it was originally.

marketing:foot:

I thought he meant ridgid as in less whippy and more stiff like hollow grinding a sword. The side to side motion or flexibility would be noticibly less???

I disagree. Removing material isnt going to make the blade more resistant to flexing. Like I said earlier, I think it's just a way of lightening the blade while reducing the strength as little as possible. That and making it look really cool:cool:

they help direct the spray of body fluids and you can strum them like a washboard around the campfire.

.

you know, one of those things you drag a spoon across to make strange sounds while singing
