I've decided to replace the Victorinox Farmer as my everyday carry.

Thanks to sitflyer sitflyer I'm carrying this on my belt daily. This is one of my grails. All the more likeable due to its history demonstrating giving and generosity since I've owned it.

Very nice. :)
I like the "old style" can opener/tin opener and sheepsfoot main blade.
The punch looks a bit more effective than the one used by Victorinox.
Do you know if the mini screwdriver that goes in the corkscrew on the newer knives will fit?

That style of can opener style is really a hand opener. The sheepfoot blade was originally a spearpoint. Regarding the mini screwdriver fitting in the corkscrew, I'll find out later when I dig out my cigar box of SAKs.

I got a great deal on the knife because the main blade was bent. As I gingerly attempted to straighten it, it snapped. In disgust I quickly gave it away in this forum. After receiving it, sitflyer sitflyer reground the blade and surprised me by giving it back which apparently was his plan all along. It's a cherished knife now.

What a great story! sitflyer sitflyer I salute you for pulling this off!

I really like this one, especially that can opener. I know that sometimes Wenger takes a backseat to Victorinox, but this is a very nice knife (now with a tale to tell, as all favorite knives do!).

Thanks for reminding me, I kept looking at that old Wenger and my before caffeine brain wasn't quite ticking. I could not remember owning it, as I never considered it as mine ;) LoL...that was actually pretty fun :)
Glad you liked the repair.
