Want to thank the members on this forum for turning me on to "Pig's Nose" scotch. Went to several stores before I found one that carried the brand.

Funny thing, as I was checking out, a female customer, noticing my purchase, asked if Pig's Nose was a good scotch and I said I was buying it upon the recommendation of an internet forums website.

Got home and very happy with its smoothness. Sipping on some as I am making this post.

Jerry recommended Johnny Walker Blue but after discovering how expensive it is I decided the money would be better spent on a Busse. Just out of curiosity how many of you actually spend the dough to sip JWB? Lucky bastids. :D

I usually prefer the single malts, but I picked up a bottle of Famous Grouse on a whim the other day, having never sampled it. I think I've read that it's the most popular scotch whisky in Scotland (their version of Jack Daniel's ?). Turned out to be better than expected. It's a blended whisky and not as smooth as a lot of the Highland malts. But still quite drinkable. Will have to keep my eye out for a bottle of Pig's Nose.

Johnny Walker Blue runs $219 a bottle at my local spirit dispenser. I try to keep myself below a bottle a week. :D ;)

Gross Grouse. . . errr. . . . I mean Famous Grouse is Mike Thourot's favorite scotch. . . but even he agrees that Pig's Nose is MUCH better!!!

If you have Pig's Nose you don't really need JWB. . . .

Either way. . . . you win!!!!

My local Liquor Store has Blue Label for under $200 a bottle with no sales tax.. Hmmmmmmm.

I think I'll have to make a trip down there on Monday and pick some up.

Hmm... the LCBO doesn't seem to carry Pig's Nose here in Ontario. Guess I'll have to pick some up next time I'm south of the border.

My lik'r cabinet always has Talisker Distiller's Edition, Te Bheag and Johnny Walker Black. Also recently finished off a Scapa 14 year old which was really nice.

If you want to try something fabulous, mix 1:1 ratio of Talisker Distiller's with Te Bheag and savour... I know, sacriligious, but still damn good.

I have tried Johnie Walker Blue and liked it very much, but not enough to pay that kind of money. I drink Johnie Walker Black almost every night. One of lifes little pleasures.:)

Ya'll are just plain nuts! Scotch.....man that stuff is bad. Give me a bottle of Crown or Jack, or even a fine dark beer and I'm good.

I keep the liquor cheap so I have more for guns and knives!

Much of it is bad. But I'm hooked!

Glenlevit for me, but even that is too spendy at the moment. For these poor times, I go for Maclellans Highland.

I might also add that I am using Heinekin keg draft as a chaser to the Pig's Nose and this forum is looking better with every sip. :o

I can get Heinekin small keg for about $20; not bad eh? :) Hee, hee...

Now about that Bat... batt... Battle... Misssz...trizzz...huh?
