Pikuni Sheath with Spyderco "G" Clip

A number of years ago I was involved in a 3-way collaboration with Rob Simonich and Round Eye Knife and Tool, the REKAT Pikuni - Rob's design, REKAT's execution in D2E, and my sheath in Carbon Fiber pattern Concealex. A great little under-appreciated (at the time) knife!! Anyone who has used one in the field cherishes it. Anyway, I've started using Spyderco's new "G" clips for those occasions when people might want to carry horizontal, instead of the mini-TekLoks. "G" clips can be clipped to the waistband of sweats or running shorts, and work great for these beltless occasions - TekLoks can't. I'm very impressed with Spyderco's "G" clips and had set up a sheath for a Byron Lightning Strike with one to show knifemakers and a couple other kydex guys at the Indy 1500 Gun & Knife Show this last weekend. As luck would have it, the knife sold early Saturday, so there went my example. Since I had some naked unused Pikunis around from a deal I'd done with Bob Taylor, I decided to set one up with a sheath using Spyderco's new "G" clip. Here's some pictures, one showing the original CF Pikuni sheath. I'll see how long I keep this one.
