Pila GL3X with a Surfire Ultra High output MN11 Lamp Assembly

Hello,

I remember seeing someone post that they had fit a Surefire Ultra High output MN11 Lamp Assembly in a Pila flashlight but i can't find it. Has anyone made this combination work? Details please?

Also and comments on the quality of a Pila flashlight?

I dont think that combo would work w/out some serious modfications.

The MN11 has no reflector attached, and there is no reflector assembly on a Pila, as the reflectors and lamps are one unit.

not familiar with that setup either, but is it possible that someone used pila batteries to drive the lamp rather than fitting lamp into a pila body? i've seen quite a few mods using pila batteries to drive surefire lamps.
