Pilot Survival Knife Sheath Dimensions

Guys I know there's a lot of ya'll out there with USAF surplus pilot survival knives. I was wondering if somebody could let me know what maximum blade width the sheath could reasonable be expected to accomadate. Also, how far from the top of the sheath blade cover is the handle retention strap?

It's the same as the actual AF Survival knife blade = 5", no slop in the depth.
And from the top of the sheath to the retention strap (center line) = 3.5".
It's not a bad little knife after you sharpen it, especially for the cost.
I removed the leather strap on mine because I wrapped the handle with paracord and the strap wouldn't fit ...
so I used a leather thong in it's place.
The sheath already had 2 nice small holes punched to accommodate the thong.
 
I was looking for right<------> left NOT verticle width. Thanks for the info though!
