Just picked one up from an auction, the Camillus ones I have seen at knife and gun shows are priced $75 or thereabouts, more if they can be dated to the Vietnam War period. The sheath has SFC Tolley written on the back of it but cannot locate date, are these supposed to be dated?

The knives- prior to 1967, they were blade marked CAMILLUS N.Y. . In 1967 the markings were moved to the pommel. At that time the month and year were added to the Name. After Camillus no longer had a Government contract to provide these knives the markings were moved again to the blade with a very different style.
The Sheaths- These were often ink stamped on the back. This routinely faded away quite quickly.

Does anyone know what the last year of pommel stamped Camillus pilots knives would be?

I believe the last year was 1985. I have one with a 3-1985 pommel stamp and a September, 1985 sheath stamp.
