Love it :D

Can someone ask Pugs for forgiveness on my behalf? I'd really like to workout something with him on a leather sheath.

Nice job sno! Mr. Seguin has some serious talent. I remember buying knives in Mexico way back when it was safe to cross the boarder and some had that layered dyed pattern like yours. Glad you kept the lanyard hole open! There are other leatherbenders but none like Pugs! Good luck to ya.

I think it is against policy to link to a knife maker, but Google is your friend ;-)
You can see what Mr Seguin is up to. Someone also made a very nice video of his shop on Youtube but it is in French.

The cost for the job was 40$ for flat handle and an extra 5$ for the grooves. When he received the knife he wrote me letting me know that he will keep the lanyard hole with a brass insert for the same price. So I said... Eh OK.

A friend of mine saw the knife this weekend and offered to make a leather sheath for it. So it looks like I found a replacement leatherbender. But you are right, I've seen some of Pugs' work on the other threads and I really like what he does. Oh well.

On your side of the border, there's this Jay Fisher guy who seriously caught my attention. But I would probably have to remortgage my house to get him do the sheath for my IBBB. I'd rather buy few more HI blades instead.

Well I can tell you first hand that guy ain't gonna retire in the lap of luxury doing that handle for 45 bucks. That's a genuine gift and you better send him a fruit cake at Christmas.

I know grip and handle making for the average guy (I'm slightly below average myself) isn't lucrative, just takes too long and you flat can't charge enough. That fella done you up really right, no question about it.

I love some of the grip adds ya see, such and such exotic wood, checkering add 5 bucks. If all goes well that's almost 62 cents an hour.

You are absolutely right and I'm well aware of it. Jeez for that price he even repolished the blade and gave it a razor sharp edge.

The least I can do is send him moar work with the fruit cake. Not sure I will wait until next xmas dought.

I love what he did with the back of the handle... rounding it off and pulling it into the handle really gives that one a new feel all together.. dig it!
