Here’s what I did: Thinned out the G-10 handle slabs and machined grooves in them with a ball endmill on a Bridgeport. I also had the pivot bolt hardcoated in this places [url]www.tincoat.net[/url] premier proprietary coating called “Alpha” I did this because it’s supposed to have self lubricating property’s and smooth out the action, and I also thought the gold would go good with the desert G-10 color.

I like it as well.
Was it pricey to have that coated ? I've got a couple of knives I'd like to do the same on my handles for added grip.
